Sometimes, your special occasion calls for a special cake. ​​We can customize designs and flavors to match your theme or preferences.

Custom cakes often require extra time, especially if the design requires fondant, so be sure to plan ahead! Custom cake prices vary depending on the design details. ​
To inquire about a custom cake, send us a message! It is helpful to include information about cake size and flavor and design ideas in your initial inquiry.
Special Events​​

We would love to be part of your special event! From mini-smash cakes to tiered wedding cakes, we want to bake it!

Large cakes will require more preparation time and should be ordered at least several weeks in advance. At this time, we can book special event cakes up to 6 months in advance. ​​
Cake Tastings: In lieu of traditional cake tastings, we will offer occasional sampler boxes that will give you the chance to taste several different cake and frosting options.​
Venue Requirements: Black Squirrel Bake Shop operates under cottage law, and we are not a licensed commercial bakery. Some venues require that your food all comes from a licensed commercial kitchen. If your venue has this requirement, we cannot bake your cake. You can determine whether your venue has this requirement in your contract, on your venue's website, or through your venue contact. ​​
